MISSION STATEMENT

To provide a dignified burial for abandoned and unidentified children. To give each baby a full memorial service to honor their journey home. To comfort them with a handmade casket, blanket, beanie baby size toy and a poem specifically written for them.

To do what God expects us to do and send his children back to him with love and the dignity they deserve. We do this from our hearts and not for self recognition.

Please join us at our services! You will want to go out and tell your friends and family to come to the next one.

Since being chartered in May of 1999, Garden of Innocence San Diego has provided dignified burials for 130 abandoned and/or unidentified children who died within our county to this day.

While the work we do is sad, we enjoy our ability to do it -- through the tenacity of our founders, leadership team, coordinators, the generosity of our volunteers and donors, and the kindness of those who come to mourn as "family" to these children. The Garden is a special place. Feel free to visit and spend time at the Garden, either during a service or alone at your convenience.
