Garden Of Innocence/San Diego

After many trials with our first garden, Garden of Innocence/San Diego, we feel we are well qualified to go out across the USA to teach others in their state how to start a Garden of Innocence in their area.

Our founder of Garden of Innocence, Elissa Davey has brought one of our directors from Garden of Innocence/San Diego, Pastor Neteria Carroll, into Garden of Innocence National to combine their knowledge and together help other interested people fulfill their desire to reach out to abandoned and unidentified children.

There is a lot to do to prepare for this task but the main question we ask those interested in starting a garden is, "Why do you feel you want to start a garden?" There is no money to be made here. No one at Garden of Innocence gets paid. Everything we do is volunteer. What we gain is how we feel inside once we have cared for this little child that no one else wanted. How it feels to know that we did what is right, to bury this child, to send him or her "home" with the love and dignity of family and friends in attendance.

That is what Garden of Innocence is all about. Bringing dignity to a child where there was none.

There is also an independent Garden of Innocents in St. Louis, Missouri. If you are near any one of these areas please let us know as they all are going to need volunteers to help out.

Garden of Innocence - San Diego CA

This is our first garden which was started in 1999.  We are located in El Camino Memorial Park 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd San Diego off the 805 at Mira Mesa.  We have enough room for 650 children.  Please write us at goibabies@hotmail.com  or call toll-free and leave a message at 866-760-1776  Donations can be mailed to P. Garden of Innocence - San Francisco CA
We launched the garden in October 2008 and are very excited to be located in the San Francisco Columbarium which is run by the Neptune Society.  The Columbairum was built in 1895 and we are so grateful to be in the only cemetery located in San Francisco.  We are seeking volunteers to run the garden in San Francisco, so if you are interested please let us know.  You can contact us at 888-535-4772 toll free or email us at goisanfrancisco@hotmail.com.  If you would like to send a donation, please send it to P.O. Garden of Innocence - Montreal Canada
We have a wonderful lady working on the new International garden in Montreal.  She is currently working to make a change in the province guidelines to allow us to take on the task of caring for the abandoned children there.  If you are interested in helping with our endeavors in Canada, please contact   Christina Baillas~Thompson <milesandjade@hotmail.com>.   Christina is also trying to introduce the Safe Arms Laws to Canada, in which, a person can return a baby to the hospital within 72 hours of birth if they can no longer care for the child with no criminal recourse.   You can also email Christina at goimontreal@hotmail.com

Garden of Innocence - Seattle, Washington
After we have San Francisco up and running, Seattle will be our next stop.  We have already spoken with the King County Coroners office and they are very interested in having us bring our program to their area.  We also may  have a cemetery that is willing to donate space for us.   If you are intersted in donating to the future GOI/Seattle please sent it to P.O. Garden of Innocence - Houston TX- (in planning stages)

Garden of Innocents - St. Louis, MO

Garden of Innocence - Michigan  (In planning stages)
This garden is in the planning stages with a wonderful lady named Trudy Hill.   She is in the process of seeing if her city will donated a space in their local cemetery.  She has requested all material to present before her city council and we are waiting for responses back.
